Revolutionary Dance

Colombian-born dancer and choreographer Eleo Pomare has been remembered for the social messages embedded in his creation of performances.

Pomare landed in Harlem, and like many other dancers of his time and beyond, embedded himself in the community.

Beyond his own creative works, Pomare sought out collaboration and the forming of partnerships and media to promote dancing and the community work that could be done through art.
